We invite all members to submit nominations for AOS Officers–President-Elect, Secretary, and Treasurer. Elections take place by electronic and paper ballots in advance of the 136th Stated Meeting of the AOS in Tucson, Arizona in April. At that meeting, Steve Beissinger will complete his term as President, and Kathy Martin will begin her two-year term as President. Nominations must submitted to the Secretary by 1 November 2017; nominations require the consent of the nominee. AOS is actively soliciting nominees for President-Elect. The incumbent Secretary Andrew Jones, and Treasurer Rebecca Kimball, have agreed to stand for re-election. Of the total of twelve Elective Councilors, four are elected annually to serve terms of approximately three years, beginning at the close of the Stated Meeting. Elective Councilors rotating off Council at the conclusion of the 136th Stated Meeting in Tucson next April are Melissa S. Bowlin, Elizabeth Derryberry, Renee A. Duckworth, and Katie Dugger. Continuing to serve in 2018-2019 will be Elective Councilors Scott V. Edwards, Kevin E. Omland, Viviana Ruiz-Gutierrez, Nathaniel T. Wheelwright, Anna Chalfoun, Abby Powell, Andrea Townsend, and Mike Webster.
