The deadline for Abstract Submission andStudent & Post-Doctoral Travel, Presentation, and Research Awards Competition is:

Greetings from the beautiful Sonoran Desert. AOS President Steve Beissinger and the 2018 Local Planning Committee are excited to host the 136th meeting of American Ornithology and the 2nd annual meeting of the AOS. Please join us in Tucson, AZ for the 2018 conference, “Celebrating Connections: Birds Across Borders” at the Hilton El Conquistador, April 9-14.
We invite you to submit an abstract for consideration as part of the Scientific Program. We encourage abstracts from all members of the ornithological community, and look forward to a welcoming and inclusive meeting.
Abstracts must be submitted by 26 January 2018 at 4:00 pm Eastern using the conference Abstract Submission system in the OSNA Member Portal.

*AOS student members include (1) currently enrolled students of any country, at any level (pre-college through post-doctoral fellow), and (2) students who are between degree-seeking programs with the intent to re-enter a degree program in the future.

Book your room early at the Hilton Tucson El Conquistador. Room information and options are outlined on the meeting accomodations webpage. You may make reservations for standard rooms by phone and online. Reservations for junior suites and casitas must be made via email. If you are interested in room sharing, email AOS18AZ@gmail.com with “room sharing inquiry” in the subject line; you will be invited to a Facebook group focused on room sharing among registrants at this meeting.
